WDC – Whale and Dolphin Conservation
WDC, Whale and Dolphin Conservation (formerly WDCS) is the leading global charity dedicated to the conservation and protection of whales and dolphins. We defend these remarkable creatures against the many threats they face through campaigns, lobbying, advising governments, conservation projects, field research and rescue. Our vision is a world where every whale and dolphin is safe and free.
WDC is a passionate, global campaigner for whales and dolphins, speaking with emotion and wonder, but always with authority. We make sure our voice is heard by decision makers.
We care about whales and dolphins and we want others to care about them too.
WDC’s core belief is that all whales and dolphins have the right to exist as nature intends, not as humans decide. To be able to live free from hunting, captivity, entanglement in fishing gear and nets, and to swim in clean, noise-free waters where boats won’t injure them.

The ARCHIE Foundation
The ARCHIE Foundation was established as the official charity of Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital, to raise funds that would ‘Make the Difference’ between the high standards of care and a total child and family centred experience.
Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital opened on 25 January 2004 and since then, The ARCHIE Foundation has added lots of new equipment, specialist members of staff, advanced training and an amazing family support programme. As a result, The ARCHIE Foundation is ‘Making the Difference’ every single day for sick children and their families across the whole of the North of Scotland.
In January 2014, Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital will be 10 years old and will have cared for over a million children and their families. To mark the 10th anniversary, the High 10 for ARCHIE appeal aims to raise funds to make Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital a world-class hospital for the next 10 years, for today and tomorrow’s sick children. The appeal has identified the 10 top priorities as seen by our children, families and the hospital staff. With your assistance we will once again make the difference to the 10 key steps of a child’s journey through the hospital.
